 Before the last trial of Paul who he wanted to appeal to. He had the privilege as being a Roman citizen 

He chose Ceasar. He knew he had better chances if he had appealed for Kings friendly to him. 

And during the travel there was a instance where the climate looked favorable for travelling. Paul warned the sailors against it. But they chose to travel and they met with huge losses

Rational thought may not be always what God wants us and God's ways are not easy and will raise doubts for you and people around you and the end of it may not be prosperity

Movie Review - Chinna Chinna Aasai

 

If you ask me to surmise the movie in a sentence- A beautiful movie which is out of fashion in these times. In a phase where popular movies are a collage of 'reels' and preferred by a generation swayed by Instagram, this movie is slow paced and tells relationship between two elderly people. 

The female lead is a mysterious character played by Madhubala. She strays off her group visiting Varanasi and is befriended by character played by Indrans. In a day's journey we see the various insecurities of life they go through, as they explore Varanasi. The movie does not get overtly preachy or awkward.

The ending was very unexpected and kudos goes to the makers who avoided the usual formula. Huge applauds are reserved for the lead characters who came up with powerful performances.  

The ruler is helpless in front of his own rukes

 In this story from the Bible, the competitors of Daniel decided to trap him.

They ask their king to come up with a rule that in next three days only he is to be worshipped. The King saw it as a chance to consolidate his power and people's loyalty

Only when he learnt that Daniel disobeyed the rule, did he understand the motive  of his advisers. And now he couldn't change the rule he made

I am not discussing what happened next, but we often fall in the trap of our own rules and ideas and even the most powerful can;t break theirs own

The first miracle by the Apostles

 There is an incident mentioned in the Acts chapter 3. Probably the first miracle  by the apostles, after the resurrection of Jesus

A man asks Peter for alms. He was handicapped and that was what he used to do for living

Peter replies : I don't have gold or silver, but I can heal you. And that man miraculously is cured of his handicap. He rose and danced and jumped for joy. This might be first such miracle where the receptor was given something that he didn't; ask for

Imagine, he after all the joy, discovers he can no longer beg for alms

All miracles need not be the ones you ask for. They might be the redemption you needed rather than the arms you wanted

Futile Dreams

 I saw myself arguing with my friends. I recognized them from my school days

And I found a guy who wanted to calm down the argument. He was always like this. Half laid back

Suddenly I realized that I was arguing for something pointless. And at that movement I realized I was in a dream. For May be a second I was in a dream and I realized it was dream.

I woke up and realized these friends have been from a life 25 years ago. I don't know where they are and haven't seen them for decades

A few minutes after waking up I realized I spent a good part of my life achieving nothing. My parents shifted from rural backgrounds built themselves a career and home. I don't have even decent savings

Obituary to Life

 Today, I received a message about a friend whose mother passed away. He was no close friend of mine and it might have been decades since I met him.

But he is my age and then I realized, I might be entering a period when we have to lose our dear friends and then it dawned on me that I took might not have much time left

I might too go away without seeing the spring

This Mother's Day fell on a Sunday

 This Sunday I had this urge to go to Church. It is not a easy thing as I have to drive 80 kms and back. But I decided to honour this urge and drive on. On the way while listening to the stereo and in the Church, I don't know why the prayers to Mother Mary kept touching a chord. 

I am not a person who worships Mary, but belong to the denomination that respects her. Later in the day I learnt that it was the Mother's Day. Day where mothers and their role are celebrated

There is no better icon for a Mother's Day than Mary. Deeply misunderstood in her times, got pregnant before she was married and that too in a patriarchal society. She was nearly abandoned and then had to flee her country, gave birth , alone and in a  cattle shed. Had to see her son drawing ire of the establishment and then get killed at 33. She is still despised by her own sect, the Jews

Can we see a better example

One-Five years

  Only when I opened my email yesterday did I realize that I had completed 15 years in this humungous organisation

And maybe it takes quite a while to realize that you have ended up in the wrong place and you have sunk too deep to get out.

And the reason I opened my email was to send out a complaint against a branch in my own organisation who refused to open a account. The people around are changing so fast, and you are stuck up as a fossil

Big Boss Malayalam- A cultivation ground for BJP?

 This election season comes up with some very interesting picture in the demography of Kerala politics

Bit UDF and LDF barely fields one or two celebrity candidates where as BJP easily comes up with many

Even interesting scenario is most of these candidates shot to frame or came to limelight after their tenure in Malayalam TV program Big Boss. Now it goes without saying the program is hosted in Asianet which is owned by BJP state president Rajeev Chandrashekhar

So the question is - Is Big Boss a fertilizing ground for BJP agenda? If you look at the last few seasons, they put in In-your-face contestants with toxic outlook versus people with a 'privileged-liberal' outlook (aka LGBTQ) . There is toxicity on both sides of the court and they are packaged to family audiences as 'game-plan'

I know people as in men and women irrespective of age sitting late into night watching the show. The juicy bits are cut short and packaged as reels the next day. There are fan fights and debates and 'armies'.

In the end only right wing fascist content prevails

 ഒരു കാലഹരണപ്പെട്ട സംവിധായകൻ viral ആകാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച പടം

The faultline of scripts of the so called ‘golden age’ of Malayalam cinema was that they could not treat the problems faced by a group of individuals or a society. The story was always about an individual and how he dealt with the problems

കഥ പറചലിൻ്റെ രീതി മാറിയപ്പോ ഇവരൊക്കെ പകച്ചു പോയി എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ആവും ശരി 

തൻ്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും , live in partner എയും പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു സുഖം നേടി ജീവിച്ചു പോകുന്ന ഒരു സാധാരണ സർകാർ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന് ആണ് വിവേകാനന്ദൻ. ഇങ്ങനെ സഹികെട്ട ഈ  3 സ്ത്രീകൾ കണ്ട്പിടിക്കുന്ന വിചിത്രമായ പോംവഴിയാണ് കഥയുടെ ബാക്കി ഭാഗം.

എന്തായാലും കുറചു കഴിയുമ്പോ എന്ത് ചെയ്യേണം എന്ന് ഈ സ്ത്രീകൾക്കൊ നാട്ടുകാർക്കൊ സംവിധായകനോ അറിയാതെ പോവുകയും, ഇതിൽ നിന്ന് എല്ലാവരെയം നമ്മൾ കാണികളെയും രക്ഷിക്കാൻ വിവേകിൻ്റെ അച്ഛൻ തൻ്റെ പഴയ setup നെ വിളിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് വന്നു moral of the story പറഞ്ഞു ഈ പരാക്രമം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

Nirbhaya or Without Fear

Over the years the rape and abuse cases in India (irrespective of geography ) have increased and what would be the reason

1. Commodification and overt sexualisation- Women have become a product to be sold and utilised. The alarming trend is today the commodification has lowered its age limit. Post Covid and influx of social media is now showing very young woman sexualising themselves. Unfortunately, revenue generated is normalising and even glorifying sexual perversion. A few days ago a girl as yound as 12-13 was selling an ointment which would remove dark spots under armpit. I am not taking sides, but we should have a serious thought on where we are heading.

2. Our mythology and religious texts which define our society has set a clear hegemony in terms of caste and gender. The reading of our religious texts haven't evolved but has gone backwards over the year. Glorifying the caste dynamics or even supressing women has impacted our thought processin a very evil way

Confining women to motherhood or and then gloorifying and sanctifying repression should not work in a modern society. So deep insode a man , a woman who moves out of these confines have to be disciplined and abuse becomes normalised

Even now the public 'feelings' or reactions to a rape are largely dependent on the social status of the accused and 'aukat' of the prepetrator

Where are our teachers

As we debate on the gruesome death of a student, unfortunately the debate goes off to politics and upcoming elections

But here are a few things we have to answer

Where are our teachers? We have one of themost developed education system, with highly payed teachers. But where are they?

Do they know their students? Are they able to stimulate them?

Learning frpm the pigs

My friend who was married off to a rich family, just after high school. She is now a proud mother of three, planning to marry off her daughter as soon as she turns 18. But I believe they’re liberal as per their standards. And I think so because thkids wear their headgear rolled up like a turban and she reposts ‘wailing Palestinian kids’ in her instagram story every other day.

Last day she puts up a post on how ‘not only pigs are unhealthy to eat but also people eating people get certain straits of pigs’. 

I asked her if her post was based on some scientific stidies?

‘But don’t your Bible says so?’

‘Every Semitic religion says the same things. It was based on the knowledge the people had at that time. Today we know pigs is healthy as any other food.’

Eating or wearing something based on you stupid belief is your choice. But claiming exclusivity and judging people who think differently based on your belief system is ridiculous

No religious text is a carta blanc. It should be treated as a point of reference

Why so sensitive

 Years ago I was travelling to our office in my scooter and I happened to hear the sweet voice of  a child and stopped my scooter over the side and listened. It happened to be elocution competition for school kids organized by a mosque and they were kind enough to let the world hear. The subject for the kids as young as 8-10 was 'Are women in Islam scuttled of freedom'. I heard the little girl opening up her speech with- We know increasing sexual abuses against women today. One reason is the dress they wear'.

 I was startled to hear this and imagine the amount of venom injected into the kids to come up with such a statement.

A few days ago the whole India and even parts of the world woke up rudely to what should be seen as the row over a piece of clothing worn by a particular community. There has been talks, discussions and debates on freedom to wear and eat. But do we see the greater picture? What are we fighting at the end of the day? Is the enemy an individual, a party or a religion?

Liberalization promised to bring us many things. Wealth, prosperity, health education, food and opportunities were some of them. The social evils in our land, including casteism, inequality, superstitions were assumed to be automatically eradicated with the onset of education. But we have seen the social indices plunging especially in India. We see rational thought process disappearing slowly from all walks of life. We have been busy giving life to mythical beings and making a larger than life image out of them. 

I remember joining a gym in here and to be welcomed by a larger than life sized image of a loin clad angry Hanuman who seems to have injected a lot of steroids. If we had walked back a few decades, we would have come across less glamorous-more of a monkey version- of Hanuman. The same applies with all religions. The mythical figures have been re-painted to suit the narrative of the privileged. As Marx said once religion is being used as a legalized opium to hide from the masses that they are being tortured and abused.

Colour of the shirt

The sleaziest pick up line for a middle aged flirt would be 'What are you wearing to Office today'

And that is what I asked her today. She was only one of the few who is kind enough to indulge my attempts at flirting with her. 

And then I remembered I was wearing a peacock green shirt. The shirt would be 7 years old this July and I remember it well because I brought it before my marriage. I was the shirt I wore on our first outing together and it so happened that we wore the same colours that day (totally unintentional)

Years had rolled by, there were many things we would not agree on, many things we had to agree because of the other.- Very romantic days and very difficult days. And like the test of time the shirt has managed to hang on to its useable life although the green has faded a bit.

പത്താംക്ലാസ്. ഞാൻ വലിയ മോശമില്ലാതെ പഠിക്കും. എന്നാലും കൂടെയുള്ള കൂട്ടുകാരികളുടെ മക്കൾ ടൂഷന് പോകുന്ന കണ്ട് എൻ്റെ അമ്മ എന്നെയും ഉന്തി തള്ളി വിട്ടു. ടൂഷൻ മണ്ടന്മാമാർക്കാകാണെന്ന് മനസ്സിൽ ഉള്ളത് കൊണ്ട് മടിച്ചിട്ടാണ് ഞാനവിടെ പോയത്

തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് വളരെ പേര് കേട്ട അദ്ധ്യായാപകൻ. വളരെ കർക്കഷക്കാരനാണെങ്കിലും കളിയും ചിരിയുമായി ട്യൂഷൻ താമസിയാതെ രസകരമായി മാറി.

അങ്ങനെ ഒരു ദിവസം എൻ്റെ അടുത്ത ഒരു കൂട്ടുകാരൻ വല്ലാതെ വിഷമിച്ചിചിരിക്കുന്നു. ചോദിച്ചിട്ട് ഒന്നും പറയുന്നുമില്ല. വീട്ടിൽ എന്തെങ്കിലും പ്രശ്നമാവുമെന്ന് ഊഹിച്ചു. രണ്ട് ദിവസം ആയിട്ടും സങ്കടം മാറുന്നില്ല. ഒരിക്കൽ ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് കിട്ടിയപ്പോ ഞാനവനോട് ചോദിച്ചു

അവൻ എന്നെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലത്ത് മാറ്റി നിർത്തി സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു. വേറെ ആരോടും പറയില്ല എന്ന്.

'എടാ രണ്ട് ദിവസം മുന്നേ ട്യൂഷൻ ക്ലാസിൻ്റെ മുകളിലത്തെ നിലയിൽ കയറിയപ്പോ സാറും നമ്മടെ ക്ലാസിലെ പെൺക്കുട്ടിയും ചുമ്പിക്കുന്ന ഞാൻ കണ്ടു.' ഇവൻ അവിടെ വരുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാത്ത സാറും Desp ആയി. കർക്കശക്കാരനായ സാറ് അവൻ്റ കാല് പിടിച്ചു. പക്ഷേ പാവം, രണ്ട് ദിവസമായി ആ രഹസ്യം ഉള്ളിൽ കിടന്ന് വിങ്ങി പൊട്ടുവായിരുന്നു.

അങ്ങനെ എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞ് ആ വിങ്ങലിൽ നിന്ന് മോചനം നേടി

Malayalam Movie Review - Aarkkariyam

 

What decides the moral compass of a man? How far will he go to compromise that compass to protect the things he values the most? And how does he justify his actions at the end of the day.

When you start out the journey of life, good and evil or right and wrong are laid out in black and white. The border line separating them gets hazy as life goes on and in the end you learn that the thing that matters most is your survival.

 

So what happens when someone standing on the wrong side of your morality is someone you love? Where will your priorities lie? This seems to be the predicament of Roy, the protagonist of the movie ‘Aarkkariyaam’ (Translated as Who knows?) Roy, who himself is going through a tough patch in his business) is startled to learn a hard truth about his father-in-law. The story moves on from that point to journey of Roy to reach a point of decision.

Roy is portrayed as an ordinary businessman caught in hard times of the pandemic. He uses goodwill of his friend, who cheats his company to arrange temporary funds for Roy. Roy travels to Kerala along with his wife to her house in Pala and the story evolves from there. The pace of the story evolves leisurely  and smoothly until the story turns on its head with a sudden twist.

The characters are unraveled at its own beautiful pace, which is rather unseen in movies these days. The character of Roy caught in a  moral dilemma, when he himself is trying to salvage the wrongs he has done, his wife moving away from a previous, abusive relationship and a father seeking a closure in the mysterious will of God’. Added to all the tensions is the life thrown off the rails thanks to the pandemic.

The casting and art work is exemplary. The actors have also done a fabulous work but I found Biju Menon to be a little laboring in his act as a old man. It is a matter of contention that our ‘superstars’ are rather reluctant to reinvent themselves. This role could have been aced by one of them. The success of the movie in times of pandemic shows that hardwork pays off.

നായാട്ട്- Movie Review

ഒരു 25 വർഷം മുന്നേ ഉള്ള കഥയാണ്. മദ്ധ്യതിരുവിതാംകൂറിലെ ഒരു ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിവാഹം. അന്ന് 'ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങ് പള്ളിയിൽ എത്തിക്കോളാം' എന്ന ന്യായം മര്യാദകേടായി കണ്ടിരുന്ന കാലമാണ്. അത് കൊണ്ട് പള്ളിയിലെ അത്രയും തിക്കും തിരക്കും വീട്ടിലും കാണും.

ഇതിൻ്റെ ഇടയിൽ കൂടി ഓടി നടക്കുന്ന പണിയാണ് Photographer ന് ഉള്ളത്. ഫിലിം വേസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാൻ ഇല്ല, Lighting adjust ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റില്ല, ആളുകൾ മസിലും പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

പക്ഷേ ഈ കല്യാണത്തിന് ചെറുക്കൻ്റെ അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തും വനിതാ മാസികയിലെ photographer വരുന്നെന്ന് കിംവദന്തി കേട്ടു. സുഹൃത്ത് പെട്ടെന്ന് വന്നു, തിങ്ങി കൂടിയ ആൾക്കാരെ ഒക്കെ വെളിയിലാക്കി, കുടയൊക്കെ നിവർത്തി സെഷൻ ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഞാനാ വാതിൽ പാളിയിലൂടെ ഇത് വാ പൊളിച്ച് കണ്ട് കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ആൽബം വന്നപ്പോൾ അതിലും വാ പൊളിച്ചു.

ഈ സ്റ്റൈൽ trend ആകാൻ വർഷങ്ങൾ വീണ്ടുമെടുത്തു. അന്ന് കാലത്തിന് മുന്നേ സഞ്ചരിച്ച photographer ആണ് 'നായാട്ട്' സംവിധായകൻ.

ഞാനീ കഥ പറയാൻ കാര്യം കാലത്തിന് മുന്നേ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നതിലും പാടാണ്, മുന്നേ പോയ trend ന് പിറകേ പോയി പിടിക്കുക എന്നത്. അതാണ് സംവിധായകൻ ഈ പടത്തിൽ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതും ഒരു പരിധി വരെ പരാജയപ്പെടുന്നതും. കഥ പറയുന്ന രീതിയും ക്യാമറയും conternporary സ്റ്റൈലിൽ പരീക്ഷിക്കാൻ നോക്കിയെങ്കിലും വിജയിച്ചു എന്ന് പറയാൻ വയ്യ. ചുരുക്കി പറഞ്ഞാൽ സംവിധായകന് ഒട്ടും comfortable ആയ framework ൽ അല്ല പടം എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്.

ഈ സിനിമയുടെ ' Political Correctness ' വലിയ ചർച്ചയായതാണ്. എന്നാലും fringe groups നെ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുമ്പോ കുറച്ചൂടെ maturity & Sensitivity ആകാമായിരുന്നു.

അതു പോലെ തന്നെ പ്രസക്തമായ വിഷയമാണ് പൊതു സമൂഹത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രതികാര-ദാഹം ശമിപ്പിക്കാൻ നിരപരാധികളെ frame ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ വിഷയവും 'നായാട്ട്' എന്ന theme ആയി ഒരു പരിധി വരെ connect ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിച്ചെങ്കിലും ആ വിഷയത്തിന് കുറച്ചു കൂടെ treatment ആകാമായിരുന്നു.

Casting ൽ ചിലയിടത്ത് ആവശ്യത്തിലുപരി കഴിവുള്ളവരും ചിലയിടത്ത് പ്രതീക്ഷയ്‌ക്കൊത്ത് ഉയരാൻ പറ്റാത്തവരുമായി പോയെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് കുഞ്ചാക്കോ, നിമിഷ എന്നിവർടെ കഴിവിന് പറ്റിയ റോളായിരുന്നോ എന്ന് സംശയവും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ റോൾ കുറച്ചു കൂടെ ശക്തമായ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവരാകേണ്ടതുമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് അഭിപ്രായമെനിക്കുണ്ട് .എ

എന്തായാലും'കണ്ടിരിക്കാൻ' പറ്റുന്ന നല്ല സിനിമ

ഈ കൊ‌റോണ കാലത്ത് Normalize ആയ ഒരു ആശംസയാണ് RlP. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും whatsapp മുതൽ facebook വരെ ഈ ആശംസയുടെ കൂമ്പാരമാണ്.

പക്ഷേ തിരുമേനിയുടെ വിയോഗം ഒരു വല്ലാത്ത വിഷമമുണ്ടാക്കി.

പള്ളി പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ സജീവമായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ കേട്ട രണ്ട് കഥകൾ, പിന്നീട് ആ ഭ്രമം തീർന്നപ്പോളും വല്ലാതെ influence ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്

ഒന്ന് അദ് ദേഹം പണ്ട് കപ്പയും കട്ടൻ കാപ്പിയും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് കുർബാന കൊടുത്തതാണ്. പുറമേ ലിബറൽ tag അകത്ത് നല്ല ഒന്നാന്തരം conservative ആയ സഭയിൽ ഇത് ഒരു വല്ലാത്ത ചർച്ചാ വിഷയമായി.

ഇന്ന് കൊറോണ കാലത്ത് കുർബാന അനുഷ്ഠാനം ഒരു വിവാദ വിഷയം ആകുമ്പോൾ വളരെ മുന്നേ reform ചെയ്യേണ്ട ഒരു practice ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു തോന്നുന്നു.

അതു പോലെ influence ചെയ്ത സംഭവമാണ് പണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം പൂജപ്പുര ജയിൽ നിവാസികളെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തു നടത്തിയ പ്രസംഗം

'ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും തമ്മിൽ ഒരു വത്യാസമേ ഉള്ളൂ. ഞാൻ വലിയ കള്ളനായത് കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ഇതിൻ്റെ വെളിയിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു '

ഒരു 'കുറ്റവാളി'യോടുള്ള യാഥാസ്തിതിക സമൂഹത്തിൻ്റെ തന്നെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് മാറ്റുന്ന ഒന്നായിരുന്നു ഈ വാചകം.

വീമ്പു പറച്ചലിൻ്റെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്ന് മാറിയതിൻ്റെ സമാധാനത്തിൽ അവിടെ പോയപ്പോളാണ് ആശാൻ അവിടെയിരിക്കുന്നു. ആരെയെങ്കിലും സംസാരിക്കാൻ കിട്ടിയ സന്തോഷം പുള്ളിക്കും, കഥ കേൾക്കുന്ന സന്തോഷം എനിക്കും

കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ നമ്മടെ കൈവെള്ളയിൽ ഒതുങ്ങതിനു മുന്നേ, നമ്മളുടെ മടിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതിനും മുന്നേ, വീടുകളുടെ മേശയിലും internet cafe യിലും വരുന്നതിനും വളരെ മുന്നേ ആശാൻ ബാങ്കിൽ ജോലിയ്ക്ക് കയറിയതാണ്. അന്ന് transaction data സൂക്ഷിശിച്ചിരുന്നത് ledger എന്ന് പറയുന്ന ഭീമൻ പുസ്തകങ്ങളിലാണ്. Ledger കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത് പ്യൂൺ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ Messenger എന്ന category ൽ പെട്ടവരാണ്. മിടുക്കരായ Messenger ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഓഫീസർമാർക്ക് ദിവസവും സമയത്ത് കണക്ക് കൃത്യമാക്കി വീട്ടിൽ പോകാം. ഇവർ പണിമുടക്കിയാൽ ബാങ്ക് അടച്ചിടാനേ നിവൃത്തിയുള്ളൂ

കാലം മാറി. Ledger ൽ നിന്ന് ബാങ്ക് Computer യുഗത്തിലേക്ക് പെട്ടെന്ന് കുതിച്ചു. അതിൽ നിന്ന് ഇന്ന് മേഘങ്ങളിലേക്കും (cloud banking). ലെഡ്ജറുകളാകട്ടെ അലമാരയിലേക്കും പിന്നെ ആക്രിക്കടകളിലേക്കും യാത്രയായി. അങ്ങനെ ഈ 'മെസഞ്ചർമാർ' പയ്യെ irrelevant ആകാൻ തുടങ്ങി. പെട്ടി പിടിക്കലും തപാൽ ഒട്ടിക്കലും എന്നിങ്ങനെ ജോലികളിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങിയതോടെ ഇവർ പലരും ബ്രാഞ്ചിൻ്റെ മൂലകളിൽ ഒതുങ്ങി. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു മൂലയിൽ നിന്നാണ് ആശാനെ കിട്ടുന്നത്. രണ്ടു വർഷത്തോളം കഥ സെഷൻസ് തുടർന്നു.

ഞാനിദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഓർക്കാൻ കാര്യം അടുത്തെയിടെ കണ്ട ഒരു ഹിന്ദി സിനിമയാണ് - 'Kamyaab'. ഒരു veteran Film artist മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു താൻ ഇതുവരെ 499 സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന്. അത് 500 ആക്കാനും തൻ്റെ അഞ്ഞൂറാമത്തെ പടം memorable ആക്കാനും ഒരു മോഹം. അങ്ങനെ വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം സിനിമയിലേക്ക് വന്നപ്പോൾ പുള്ളി മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു ആ മേഖല ആകെ മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന്. തുടർന്നുണ്ടാവുന്ന struggles ആണ് കഥ.

ബന്ങ്ങൾ വരെ monetize ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട ഈ കാലത്ത്, irrelevant/obsolete ആയി പോകുന്ന ധാരാളം പേരുണ്ട് നമ്മുടെ ചുറ്റും. പ്രായം മാത്രമല്ല അതിന് Factor. നമുക്ക് നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ പറ്റാത്ത പലതും അതിൽ കാണാം.

Unfortunately as soon as he came in the project was shelved.  തൻ്റെ പകുതി പ്രായമുള്ള ' colleagueട' ആയി മിംഗിൾ ചെയ്യാൻ പാടുപ്പെട്ട ആ മനുഷ്യൻ രാവിലെ തൻ്റെ സിസ്റ്റത്തിൻ്റെ മുന്നിൽ വന്നിരുന്നിട്ട് ഒരു deodarant പൂശും. ആ deo ടെ സുഗന്ധമാണ് പുള്ളി വന്നതിൻ്റെ signal.
